Founder & CEO

Guy Martin is the founder and CEO of Blueprints, the world’s leader in assisting CEOs to drive strategy by building high-performance growth toolkits for all their employees to participate in the success of their brands.

Personal Experience & Biography

By adopting a globally-unique blend of art and science to uncover and decipher the hidden ‘DNA’ codes of organisations, a whole universe of invisible dynamics is revealed, which - when measured - enables clients’ leadership to get to the bottom of all the constructive and destructive forces at play beneath the substructure of their awareness. In short, Blueprints enables leadership to quantify the unquantifiable critical success factors at constant war with each other in the shadows and blind spots at the core of every organisation.

Guy was educated at St John’s College Johannesburg and, after matriculating, emigrated to the UK to join the Royal Air Force. He graduated as a commissioned officer at RAF College Cranwell military academy and subsequently flew seven aircraft types – ending up flying the (BAe) Harrier GR3 jump-jet fighter bomber during the Cold War in anti-air, anti-tank and nuclear weaponry systems.  In the VSTOL Harrier force, he worked closely with the Special Air Services (SAS) in clandestine Special-Forces operations and developed a love for creative warfare and how applied mathematics could make all the difference between winning and losing.

On returning to South Africa, Guy adapted his Special Forces experiences with the SAS and founded Special Operations Services (Pty) Ltd (SOS), a strategically positioned ultra-high speed emergency logistics business to change the operating models of how clients’ computer parts were rapidly distributed around the world to cut costs and improve clients’ service levels to their customers.  As an entrepreneur and owner manager of the business, he soon realised that most of his employees had commoditised and generic mindsets about top-end express freight and were therefore misaligned to his vision.  To address this employee disconnect, Guy innovated a business formula model in mathematics, involving all his people, to codify a blueprint for how the strategic positioning of the company could be achieved.  The Formula was converted into an art gallery and displayed in the boardroom to remind everyone of the unique business DNA to maximise value creation to its clients.  The financial performance took on an exponential trajectory after the Formula was implemented.

Having sold SOS to a private equity investor in 2001, Guy founded Blueprints to assist corporate clients with a sophisticated methodology to align any organisation to its strategy by building their own high-performance growth toolkits and ignite a people-centred mass movement towards transformation and market dominance.
